Intermediate Japanese

The intermediate course is for those who have studied our Pre-Intermediate course or equivalent. If you can hold a conversation in Japanese, and would like to expand your vocabulary and work on fluency, this is for you. Students have already studied complicated sentence structures in the Pre-Intermediate course, but may not be able to use them in conversation just yet. Here, you will continue building up more vocabulary and will learn to use combinations of familiar sentence structures.

Upper-Intermediate & Advanced Japanese

Upper-Intermediate and Advanced are the levels where students have already good communication skills. Usually after studying for three or more years, or after living in Japan for some time. Here students will expand vocabulary, learn more ‘native-like’ expressions, work on Keigo (politeness structures) and continue on learning Kanji.

Course Materials

Handouts are supplied. We use lots of real reading materials such as extracts from books, comics and advertisements.
